Busy Missing Judy
Last week I broke down and baked a couple of Panettone. One went to a sitter while I attended the 5th grade field trip to the Cosmosphere. The second graced our breakfast table. I flavored the bread with cardamom and fruit. We toasted it and spread cream cheese. The kids loved it.
This is my first run on this two day recipe from Rose Levy Beranbaum, “the bread bible”. I lined two coffee cans with parchment and the color, texture came out great. I will work on the structure.
This is my "Find Veronica" picture, taken at the Cosmosphere. All three 5th grade classes, with teachers, are in this picture.Saturday, I drove Carl to Kansas City. He delivered his Cub Scout popcorn while I replaced the rear brakes on my mom’s car. The weather cooperated with freezing temperatures and the occasional snowflake. Good times were had by all!

These are the old rotors. I look forward to a front brake job, it has to be easier than these! On Sunday, Veronica played “What Child is This” and Étienne sang with the children’s choir.
We popped popcorn and strung it up on the Charlie Brown tree. I think 2/3rds of it ended up on my family room carpet. We will be stringing up popcorn/cranberry strings next.
