  • Organs and Bells

Veronica may be ready for another instrument!  Our Pastor’s wife keeps this one in their living room.  At an open house this month, we got the chance to blow a few pipes.  I remember my father and I selling church bells.  The IT Verdin company had a traveling Carillon that often visited our house.  Mom also had a rather large electronic organ in our house.  I love the memories.

Below is a picture of a traveling carillon like the one I remember from 1978.  When the trailer hit a bump on the highway the bells would ring.  There is no damper on the bells so the hum tone may last a minute or more.  The keys are hit with your closed fist.  The pedals ring the larger bells.
