  • Living the Good Life

Last week I baked bread, my milestone making the move in official.  Four loaves of onion dill, one to our realtor, and one for a new family we met.  They did not last long.  The family told me the loaf was gone before they got home.  The family of five ripped into the fresh from the oven loaf with abandon.

I am trying to provide healthy snacks for the kids after school.  They are walking over a mile each day just getting to and from school.  Tiding them over till dinner requires something more substantial than a piece of candy.
I am on a oatmeal kick so we added peanut butter and M&Ms.  They did a great job and now I have a cookie jar with a weeks worth of refills!
Carl found out the queen chair is warm and sunny after school and perfect for reading.  Étienne completes worksheets and practices spelling words while I prep dinner.
We love the new home.  Here Veronica and Emma catch fresh air and sunshine after school.  I often sit in that courtyard on the right.  The garage is still stuffed with boxes.  Even when they are gone, I may not park inside.  I plan to use that garage space for bicycles.
