  • The Blessing of the Animals

    Today at Ballard First Lutheran, we celebrated the feast day of St Francis of Assisi, and the congregation was invited to bring animals to worship services, right into the sanctuary(!)

    Mostly dogs, of course, and a cat or two, but also some more exotic pets!
    The children sang "Rise and Shine" as the prelude. Étienne was very enthusiastic with the hand gestures!

    Happy Sunday! It's still dry here, and no rain in the forcast for the next week. We're enjoying it while we can. I think we're going to ask for box pickup next Saturday, so will try to get as much unpacked by then as possible.
